The French colonialists built Hanoi’s opera house during the first decade of the 20th century. The Renaissance-style building was modeled on the Palais Garnier, the older of Paris’ two opera houses, and is one of the city’s architectural landmarks. Today the opera house remains active, hosting many of the most respected singers and dancers from both Vietnam and abroad.

It can be said that nowhere in Hanoi do you find a structure which has a perfect mixture of urban and  accient capital architecture. So impressive the structure of the building is that everyone coming here has the same feeling – amazing.  The architects were inspired by ancient Greek architecture styles and Paris opera house.

Hanoi Opera House has the own values that are worthy of standing in the list of the world’s classics.
